Indio is the city that actually hosts the polo fields, and for Coachella specifically, where RVs and motorhomes aren't allowed on-site at all, an Indio driveway or park is the realistic base, not a fantasy lot at the gate.

Down valley, and closer than the hotel search you already lost

Every hotel on Highway 111 sells out for both Coachella weekends and for Stagecoach. An Indio driveway or a nearby park puts you minutes from Empire Polo Club, with your own kitchen and bathroom, for less hassle than chasing a cancellation. Jackson Street changes character during Date Festival, not during the music festivals

Indio also hosts the Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival, a fairgrounds event, not a polo-field one, and it runs on a completely different calendar than the April music festivals. We checked the official Date Festival site and it does not have 2027 dates posted yet. The pattern is consistent enough to plan around, though: Wikipedia's sourced record shows the 2023 event ran February 17-26, and the 2025 event expanded to 13 days, from the Thursday before Presidents' Day through March 2. Both years land well clear of the April Coachella and Stagecoach dates, but that's a pattern, not a promise. Confirm the actual 2027 dates on datefest.org once they're announced rather than assuming last year's calendar repeats exactly. During that event, Jackson Street around the fairgrounds gets tight with fair traffic, a different problem than April's festival traffic near the polo fields entirely across town.

Fantasy Springs is a real Indio landmark, not our partner

If you're staging a rig anywhere near the north side of Indio, Fantasy Springs Resort Casino at 84-245 Indio Springs Parkway is a genuine local reference point, not somewhere we have any arrangement with. We confirmed directly on the resort's own site that it runs a hotel, casino, several restaurants, a golf course, and a Special Events Center that books headliner concerts separate from Coachella and Stagecoach entirely. It's useful as a landmark for directions and as a sign of how much is actually happening in Indio outside festival season, not as a delivery destination or a place we're set up to stage a unit.

The city of Coachella is not the lot, and neither is all of Indio

The City of Coachella is its own separate town east of the polo fields, with its own year-round character, not a festival venue. Within Indio itself, staging near the fairgrounds during Date Festival is a different job than staging near Empire Polo Club during the April festivals. Tell us which event and which part of Indio, and we'll place the rig accordingly rather than treating "Indio" as one address.
