Modernism Week RV Parking in Palm Springs

Modernism Week runs February 11–21, 2027. For eleven days, the mid-century neighborhoods that make the event worth attending are also the hardest streets in the valley to park anything the size of a motorhome.

Vista Las Palmas is the one to leave alone

This is Alexander homes and butterfly roofs, the exact architecture Modernism Week exists to showcase, and it is not the street for a diesel Class A idling at sunrise while a tour group photographs the house next door. If your stay is centered on this neighborhood, plan on a smaller unit staged nearby rather than parked directly on the block.

Warm Sands still has room

East of the village, Warm Sands has driveways that were actually built to take a trailer or a mid-size motorhome, which makes it a more realistic base for a Modernism Week stay than the architecture-tour streets themselves. It's close enough to walk or short-rideshare into the events without needing to move the rig daily.

Movie Colony and Uptown are the wider option

Movie Colony generally has wider lots than Vista Las Palmas, and Uptown, north of the historic core along Palm Canyon, gives more flexibility for a larger rig without landing in the middle of the tightest architecture-tour streets.

The crowding is tour buses and walking groups, not just visitor traffic

We checked Modernism Week's own events program to see what actually fills these streets. The signature "Premier Double Decker Architectural Bus Tour" runs through the mid-century neighborhoods on a schedule, and separate walking tours run in specific pockets, including one named directly in the program for Twin Palms, described there as the first mid-century neighborhood built by the Alexander Construction Company. That means the congestion on a given block isn't random visitor overflow; it's a double-decker bus and a walking group both scheduled to be on that street at a specific time. If your RV needs to move during the week, ask us which days put a tour on your specific street rather than assuming the whole event is evenly spread across the village.

VillageFest is a separate constraint, every Thursday, year-round

Downtown Palm Springs closes Palm Canyon Drive to vehicle traffic every Thursday evening for VillageFest, which has nothing to do with Modernism Week specifically. Check a calendar and both Thursdays inside the 2027 event, February 11 and February 18, fall during the run. That means Palm Canyon closes to vehicles twice during your stay, not once, and a downtown delivery or pickup scheduled either evening has to work around it. There's no parking or through-driving that street on those nights regardless of the season.

Demuth is the airport-side answer

If you're flying into Palm Springs International for the week, the Demuth neighborhood near the airport is the shortest drive from touchdown to a delivered RV, useful if the rest of your group is arriving separately.
