RV Delivery vs Pickup in the Coachella Valley

We get asked to confirm "the Palm Springs location" more than any other question, and the honest answer is that there isn't one. This is a marketplace-backed operation working with local owners, not a fleet parked behind a storefront. Delivery is to your actual address or neighborhood. Pickup is a valley-wide staging point, wherever the unit already sits, and you drive from there.

Delivery means the real place, not a generic drop

We deliver to the city or neighborhood on the listing, a Warm Sands driveway, an Indio snowbird park, a Palm Desert condo lot if the HOA allows it. VillageFest closes Palm Canyon Drive to vehicle traffic every Thursday night, so a downtown delivery has to work around that, not through it. El Paseo and Old Town La Quinta are walkable strips, not places to park a 35-foot motorhome for the week; the rig stages nearby and you walk in.

Pickup means you're driving, so know the route

If you're picking up rather than taking delivery, expect real roads, not a fantasy shop address. Highway 62 climbs a real grade heading up toward Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree, and a loaded rig feels that climb more than a car does. Interstate 10 through San Gorgonio Pass, right around Thousand Palms and Desert Hot Springs, is one of the windiest stretches in Southern California, and a high-profile Class A or a poorly loaded trailer will catch that crosswind. Flying into Palm Springs International and picking up close to the airport, Demuth side, is the shortest version of this trip.

Festival delivery is its own job

Stagecoach's own Resort camping rules require the person whose name is on the order to be present at check-in, in Lot 4B or Lot 7, wearing both wristbands, or the RV gets turned away. That means festival delivery isn't "drop it at the house"; it's a scheduled check-in window with a specific person standing there. Coachella itself doesn't allow RV or motorhome camping on-site at all, so any Coachella-week delivery is to an off-site park or driveway near Indio, not the festival grounds. Length limits are a delivery constraint, not a suggestion

Some driveways, HOA guest spaces, and older Palm Springs streets simply won't take a 38-foot motorhome, no matter how good the listing photos look. Tell us the actual address and we'll tell you honestly whether the rig you want will fit, before you pay a delivery fee to find out it doesn't.

This isn't a rare edge case. Of the 47 units in our current marketplace with a listed length, 7 run longer than 32 feet, and the median unit is 29 feet. That's still long enough to fail in a lot of older Palm Springs driveways and most HOA guest spaces. Measure the actual address before you book a longer unit, not after the delivery truck is already stuck at the curb.

What actually happens at the walkthrough

Every rental, delivered or picked up, includes a real walkthrough before you're left with the keys, not a quick wave at the hookups. That's not an add-on tier, it's built into every booking. Delivery and setup itself is priced separately by distance and covered as an optional add-on, but the walkthrough covering how the unit actually runs isn't something you have to ask for separately.
